E-COMMERCE MARKETING ASSISTANT & ADMINISTRATOR
The Details:
Level: Entry Level Position
Start Date: Summer 2008
Location: Edmonton or Vancouver
Required Skill Set / Experience:
* 1 to 2 Years Experience with Online Marketing and/or E-Commerce Implementations
* Degree or Diploma in Marketing or Internet Marketing
* Experience in PPC Campaign Management
* Excellent Understanding and Application of SEO Methodology
* Web Analytics Reporting Experience
* Excellent Working Knowledge of HTML and/or HTML Editors
* Knowledge of MySQL and ASP an Asset
* Knowledge of XML an Asset
* Knowledge and use of a CMS an Asset
* Knowledge of the Travel & Tourism Industry an Asset
Salary / Remuneration: From $40,000 per year depending on experience. Possible online lead bonus based on growth of conversions.
Vacation: This contract includes a clause for 2 weeks paid vacation per contract year. Additional time may be requested without pay at the discretion of management.
Incentive: The successful candidate will be entitled once per year to a substantial discount on trips and experiences sold by Trek Escapes.
Status: This is ongoing contract job with a minimum of 12 month term. Status to be assessed each year and renewal granted on the anniversary subject to performance review.
Job Description: The successful candidate will be expected to perform the following duties, though may not necessarily be limited to:
* Administer and support the corporate intranet, ensuring communication across the organization is sodtered through its use and information is disseminated in a timely order.
* Conduct an ongoing review and build SEO friendly content to grow organic listings.
* Work in conjunction with the Systems Officer and Marketing Manager to formulate a vision and plan of action to re-develop the organization's online presence with the ultimate goal of growing online sales and leads.
* Coordinate with our worldwide partners on aggregating web and database data for our web presence through XML.
* Monthly reporting to UK head office on analytics data, identifying trends and opportunities for growing online business.
* Format and manage the monthly email newsletter campaign and interim email marketing opportunities.
* Utilize the CMS to post content and marketing materials to the website and build landing pages for affiliate marketing.
* Monitor and manage corporate presence on social networking sites such as facebook.com.
* Build and identify mareketing opportunities with online affliate sites.
* Work in conjunction with the Marketing Manager for Trek Escapes, taking responsibility for the online marketing portion of the marketing plan.
Where will I work?
The successful candidate can be based in Edmonton or Vancouver. The job will be based in office for a minimum of 6 months, with the ability to move to a home office if desired upon performance review.
